Wedding preparation - Dressess (1)

Lydia bought this dress several month ago before Lucky propose her.
Actually she didn't intend to buy kebaya yet, but when she went shopping with her mom, her mommy ask her to see kebaya collections. And here is the result :) she attracted to a lovely broken white kebaya which really fit to her body.

She will used this dress for Akad Nikah.

Fortunately, when we went to bridal showroom, Lydia's kebaya looks much better than their collections so she feel really really grateful bought it :)

Wedding preparation - Decoration

Pheww.. the most exhausting part of wedding is the preparation.
We have to choose catering, dresses, decoration, photographer, make up stylist, invitation, and souvenir vendors. Not including all administration procedure we have to follow.

We have surveyed several vendors and attended wedding exhibition. We decided to choose Puspita Sawargi as a whole package vendor. So they'll provide catering, decor, photo, etc. excluding invitation and souvenir.

For decoration, we choose Gebyok Modifikasi as our theme. Here is the example of decorations:







































































It looks nice isn't it?
we love the acrylic lamp, and the stage meet our expectation to combine traditional java and modern.

Today is Lucky’s birthday, July 28. He’s 27^th now.

Lucky has two wishes: Our wedding and house renovation runs well. Amin :)

the Meaning of L.o.v.e

A friend of Lydia someday asked her about her relationship -why it can last so long? ever she get bored or attracted to other guy?

She said that it's very normal if people get bored in a long relationship, but that's not make an excuse to cut the bond. Lucky is like rice or water for her. Already become primary food, something you can not live without. Yes, you want to tested other kind of food who looks delicious and nice, but you will get back to rice to complete your whole day.

the same question asked to Lucky, and he said the same answer. Lydia is the light of his life. The best thing he have and thanks to God for that.

Well, the relationship doesn't run smooth everyday. They also have different opinion and always arguing for something they don't agree with. It's common. Discussion is one way to understanding your partner. No need to push your ego.

God creates human in different skin color, tribe, language, and culture to make you appreciate each other.

Love is blessing in diversity.

We have different music taste, but first time we hear this song, we looked at each other, and said "oh wow, this is really our song."

first meet

Do you know who's the person you will fall in love with?

We think none of us will know, but the heart does.

We met each other on year 2000 during Ospek (new student orientation) at FISIP University of Indonesia, Depok. Lucky's from Political Studies major and Lydia's from Communication studies.

We both shared the same class namely Pengantar Ilmu Politik (Introduction to Political Science). First time we met, Lucky already attracted to Lydia who wore big name tag, so did she. But we didn't introduced ourself yet. We just talked about the lecture who came late.



then, on our second met at Salopa cafetaria (formerly known as DPR- Dibawah Pohon Rindang, Balhut-, those places already evicted *sigh), we had change to shake hand.

We became a good friend for a year, getting closer and know each other. Our friendship made our feeling stronger.

then without declaring words, "would you be my girlfriend?", we start our new relationship as a couple. For the day, we decided September 15'2001 as our date.

This year, we celebrate our 7 year anniversary by legitimizing our relationship :)

We hope we can be together and love each other forever. Amin.

when Lucky said, "would you marry me?"

Actually, we didn't have a propose romantic scene -when the guy lied down on his knees with a box of ring in his hand, in a luxurious French restaurant- nope, Lucky didn't do that.

We already talked about marriage more than two years. So, we are more busy in preparing ourself, especially in saving money. Lucky bought a new house and Lydia planning for the wedding ceremony.

on Sunday, June 22'2008, Lucky and his family came to Lydia's house for officially propose her to her parents.
